Elsevier Health Sciences

 

Elsevier has structured its Health Sciences business in India under 4 business units:

 

Clinical Education and Reference Division (CERD)

This group addresses the educational (learning + testing) and professional information needs of trainee and practicing doctors.

 

Health Professional Division (HPD)

This group addresses the educational (learning + testing) and professional information needs of trainee and practicing health professionals. It focuses on creating products that serve the needs of nursing, dental sciences, pharmacy, veterinary sciences, medical laboratory technologies, physiotherapy, traditional medicine, and all other allied health community.

 

Pharmaceutical Communications Division (PCD)

This group addresses the needs of the pharmaceutical companies by creating solutions that help them in their drug promotions and scientific communication.

 

International Product Group (IPG)

This group addresses the educational (learning + testing) and professional information needs of medical students, trainee and practicing doctors, hospitals & pharmaceutical companies by making available Elsevier’s books, journals and e-products published in the US/UK/OZ; in the Indian market.

 

These business units are supported in their endeavors by seven functional groups namely Sales, Marketing, Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance and Customer Service. These groups provide specialized functional services and operational efficiencies to the whole of Elsevier’s Health Sciences business in India.
